Hamilton has extended its iconic Intra-Matic Chrono line with three new timepieces inspired by the brand’s signature bicompax chronograph, the Chrono-Matic, from 1969. The 40mm stainless steel Intra-Matic Auto Chrono is offered in three black PVD-coated models with striking coloured accents in white (Ref. H38446730), orange (Ref. H38446732), or yellow (Ref. H38446731), featured on a matte black dial.
Unlike the early Chrono-Matic model, where the crown was positioned on the left, this new iteration aligns the crown and pushers on the right-hand side. The bicompax chronograph layout remains intact, with the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and the 60-second counter at 9 o’clock. The blackened, faceted applied hour markers and blackened hands are coated with Super-LumiNova. The central seconds hand and the tachymeter scale add a pop of colour to the otherwise monochrome design. Additionally, a date window is positioned at 6 o’clock.
Inside is the automatic Hamilton Calibre H-31, a chronograph movement based on the ETA/Valjoux 7753, which operates at a 4Hz frequency and offers a 60-hour power reserve.
Adding to the sporty appeal, each model is paired with a racing-style perforated black leather strap, lined with either black, yellow, or orange to match the dial accents. The watches are water-resistant up to 100 metres.
The Hamilton Intra-Matic Auto Chrono is priced at approximately INR 2,40,000.
