At Watches and Wonders 2024, Parmigiani Fleurier introduced the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor with a ‘Golden Siena’ dial housed in a stainless steel case. Now, the Swiss brand—renowned for its purist approach to watchmaking—has unveiled a new variant, this time crafted entirely in platinum and featuring a stone blue dial, adhering to the golden ratio. The new Tonda PF Micro-Rotor is a limited edition of just 25 pieces.
The 40mm case, with a slim 7.8mm profile, is complemented by the signature knurled bezel. The new shade of the dial takes cues from the colour palette of the Swiss-French architect and designer, Le Corbusier. While the previous model featured the brand’s exclusive Grain d’orge guilloche pattern, the new stone blue dial has a sandblasted finish. The skeletonised delta-shaped hour and minute hands remain, accompanied by the brand’s minimalist logo at 12 o’clock. The watch also boasts water resistance of up to 100 metres.
Beating inside is the brand’s in-house automatic PF703 movement with an autonomy of about 48 hours. Designed with a micro-rotor, the movement maintains a slim profile, reducing the watch’s overall thickness. Decorative elements, including perlage, beveled bridges, and Geneva stripes, further enhance the movement, while the platinum 950 oscillating weight is adorned with Grain d’Orge guilloché.
The timepiece is flanked with a five-row bracelet finished with a combination of polished and satin surfaces, ensuring a seamless integration with the case. The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Micro-Rotor Platinum Stone Blue is priced at approximately INR 80,00,000.

What we think -
Parmigiani Fleurier once again impresses with the design aesthetics, a refined colour palette, and its purist approach. The stone blue dial enhances the watch’s elegant appeal, while the use of platinum not only elevates its prestige but also gives the brand a lot of credit for expertly using the precious metal.
