Expanding one of its most sought-after collections, Seiko has introduced the new Presage Craftsmanship Ref. SPB495, featuring a beautiful enamel dial—crafted by master enameller Mitsuru Yokosawa, who has been refining his art for over half a century. The timepiece pays homage to Seiko’s very first pocket watch, called the Timekeeper, made in 1895.
The enamelled dial comes in a matte white finish, complemented by elegant Roman numerals and a railroad minute track, echoing the design elements of the vintage Timekeeper. At 6 o’clock lies the 24-hour display instead of small seconds. The hour, minute, central seconds, and subdial hands are blued, giving the dial a refined finish.
Beating inside its 40.2mm hard-coated stainless steel case, topped by a dual-curved sapphire crystal, is the manually wound automatic 6R5H calibre. The movement, visible through the caseback, offers a precision rate of +25 to -15 seconds per day and a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The watch also features 100-metre water resistance.
The timepiece is paired with a black cowhide leather strap featuring a three-fold clasp. The leather is certified by the Leather Working Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to responsible and sustainable leather production.
The new Presage Craftsmanship Ref. SPB495 is priced at approximately INR 1,20,000.
