Girard-Perregaux has introduced two new versions of its renowned Laureato 38 mm, each featuring a stunning gem-set white gold bezel that accentuates the watch’s signature octagonal form.
The first model (Ref. 81005-58S3463-1CM) boasts a bezel set with 32 custom-made baguette-cut diamonds, fitted using an invisible setting technique. Each diamond is carefully channelled into the bezel, which subtly widens at each corner to accommodate varying stone sizes. The height of each gem is calibrated for optimal light reflection. A white gold Clous de Paris dial is free of any text between 4 and 8 o’clock, creating a clean aesthetic, and is paired with white gold indexes and the GP logo. The baton hands are gold-plated and filled with luminescent material that glows white in the dark.
For those who prefer a splash of colour, the second model (Ref. 81005-11S3464-1CM) features a bezel adorned with 10 brilliant-cut diamonds near 6 o’clock, transitioning into 46 brilliant-cut blue sapphires that shift in hue from light to deep blue toward 12 o’clock. This version features a grey Clous de Paris dial accented with blue inscriptions. The baton hands are rhodium-plated and filled with the same luminous material.
Both 38mm models are housed in stainless steel cases and powered by the in-house automatic GP03300 calibre, which beats at 4 Hz and offers a 46-hour power reserve. The movement is equipped with a pink gold oscillating weight decorated with circular Côtes de Genève, and finished with refined details including straight Côtes de Genève on the bridges, mirror-polished screws, bevelling, and gilded engraving.
Each timepiece is water-resistant up to 100 metres and comes with a polished and satin-finished steel bracelet that enhances its sport-luxe appeal.
