In January this year, Jacob & Co.’s founder, Jacob Arabo, and Bollywood actor Salman Khan made headlines by announcing a forthcoming collaboration. The duo has been friends for a long time, with Khan often spotted wearing the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon. To celebrate their friendship and as an ode to the actor’s heritage, Jacob & Co. has unveiled an exclusive timepiece—the limited-edition The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone. The watch was first unveiled at the Geneva Watch Days 2023, inspired by the watch Jacob's father, Nison Arabov, gifted him when he was 13 years old while they were living in Uzbekistan before they migrated to the United States. To Jacob, this gift symbolised limitless dreams, the idea that the world holds endless possibilities, and that any aspiration can be achieved and conquered.
The idea for this collaborative watch emerged when Khan learned that the timepiece was inspired by a watch that Arabo’s father had gifted him. Similarly, the new version of The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone pays tribute to Khan’s father, Salim Khan. The actor says, “Time connects us across generations. When I learned Jacob’s story, I knew I wanted to create a timepiece that honoured my father’s role in my life. ‘The World Is Yours’ is more than a watch—it’s a symbol of family, legacy, and the moments that shape us.”
Designed for travellers, The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone features a domed, three-dimensional dial resembling a globe, housed in a stainless steel case measuring 43mm in diameter. It is equipped with an adjustable dual time zone complication that allows independent setting of the hour and minute, making it suitable for time zones with non-standard differences, such as India’s GMT+5:30 offset.
The timepiece pays tribute to India with saffron and green subdials, inspired by the colours of the Indian flag, set against a blue PVD titanium dial that resembles the ocean. The world map is laser-engraved on the dial with a rose-gold finish. The saffron subdial features Roman numerals, while the green subdial has Arabic numerals, with the actor’s initials S.K. displayed at the 6 o’clock position. The name Salman Khan is engraved on the caseback.
Powering the watch is the brand’s self-winding JCAA14 calibre, which beats at 4 Hz and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
Flanked by a blue alligator leather strap, the timepiece comes in a custom box in Khan’s favourite colour—the turquoise of the stone from his iconic bracelet, which he never goes without.
The limited-edition watch is individually numbered and priced at INR 36,60,000.
