Two expressions. One poetic legacy.
From their atelier in Fleurier, BOVET has built a repertoire of masterpieces that has redefined timekeeping for more than two centuries! Founded in 1822 by Édouard Bovet, the Maison quicky rose to global acclaim for their exquisitely decorated pocket watches, many of which were crafted for the Chinese Imperial court.
Over two centuries later, this devotion to artistry still echoes in their Récital collection, first introduced in 2010, as a tribute to musical recitals. With its distinctive sloped “writing desk” case, inspired by antique desks used for composing letters, Récital became BOVET’s most expressive platform for high complications and poetic storytelling. It’s where tourbillons dance in asymmetry, moon phases glow against hand-decorated skies, and innovation meets pure artistry.
And now with Récital 30 & Récital 12– 36mm taking center stage at this year’s Watches & Wonders Geneva, 2025, BOVET is ready to strike a fresh chord!
Conquering World Time Once Again!
For generations, global travelers and collectors accepted the limitations of their world timers. Afterall, the Daylight Saving Time (DST) was never designed for watches - let alone mechanical ones. Its irregularity, regional inconsistency, and late shifts made it the Achilles' heel of world time complications.
But this changed in 2024, when BOVET stunned the horological world with the Récital 28 Prowess 1 — the first mechanical timepiece to solve the long-standing global issue of DST.
And now, with Récital 30, BOVET has once again flipped the script.
On March 30, 2025, the day we switched to DST, BOVET released Récital 30 that could track time across 26 zones — including Daylight Saving.
Borrowing the award-winning roller system from the Récital 28, this mechanical marvel with 26 rollers, each corresponding to a global city, and four programmable time states — UTC, American Summer Time, European + American Summer Time, and European Winter Time— allows the user to instantly adapt to the seasonal quirks of world time.
The dial is nothing short of a celestial map in motion. At its center sits a local time display, with elegant hour and minute hands floating over a micro-engraved sub-dial. Surrounding it is a 24-hour rotating disc, which aligns with the selected reference city on the roller track — creating an intuitive, almost poetic connection to global time
Designed over six years and built with 373 mechanical components, the Récital 30 is precision engineering, made wearable. Encased in either Grade 5 titanium or 18K red gold, each piece houses the new Caliber R30.00-GD — a self-winding mechanical movement with 373 components and 44 jewels, beating at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offering a 60-hour power reserve.
Housed in a signature sloped “writing desk” case, offering both visual drama and improved legibility. A domed sapphire crystal arches gracefully over the dial, offering a clear view of the multi-level architecture within, while a transparent sapphire caseback reveals the symphony of hand-finishing and decoration that defines BOVET’s in-house artistry — from circular graining and Geneva stripes to polished bevels and hand-engraved bridges.
The Récital 30 comes in two unique versions — both featuring New Delhi on the dial. Recognizing India’s distinctive 30-minute offset, Mr. Raffy, owner of BOVET, ensured it wasn’t just included but spotlighted.
“India is a country growing fast on the global stage, and I wanted to honor this exciting region on the Récital 30,” explains Mr. Raffy. “The collectors in India are very knowledgeable and demanding of true excellence, and I was proud to include this unique 30-minute offset, something that has rarely been done before.”
And like all BOVET timepieces, the Récital 30 is open to customization — city names, dial colours, and even switching versions can be tailored to suit each collector’s journey.
Limited to just 30 pieces this year, the Récital 30 is a true collector’s item.
Welcome to the Beautiful Life
BOVET also unveiled the beloved Récital 12 in 36mm, a smaller, feminine version of last year’s popular Récital 12, a bracelet-clad timepiece, with an agenda to present avid collectors with their most wearable 'everyday' watch yet!
The sapphire-crystal-protected Dimier case, combined with its fully integrated steel bracelet or interchangeable alligator strap, offers seamless comfort, making this the Maison’s first true daily-wear timepiece. The clasp, featuring BOVET’s signature “V,” closes to form an infinity symbol.
Like the perfect silk scarf — light, comfortable, and intimately personal — the new Récital 12-36mm with just 9.15mm thickness, is designed to drape around the wrist with the same fluid grace.
“The beauty of the Récital 12 36mm lies not just in its appearance, but in its ability to adapt, to move seamlessly between chic and cool. Whether paired with a tailored suit or worn to complement a more casual ensemble, it transforms with the wearer, much like a scarf that effortlessly shifts from an accessory of opulence to a statement of bold individuality.” says Audrey Raffy, Mr. Raffy’s daughter and a Vice President in the House.
At the heart of the Récital 12 36mm lies the Caliber 11BA15 — a finely crafted self-winding movement composed of 91 components and 25 jewels, delivering precision with a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
Available in raspberry or turquoise lacquered guilloché dials, as well as luminous white mother-of-pearl, the Récital 12 wears its heart on its sleeve — the hour and minute hands form a heart once every hour!
Crafted to be worn, cherished, and passed on — the Récital 12 36mm is time, made personal.
