Honouring its chronograph heritage, Angelus has launched the new Chronographe Télémètre, a vintage-inspired timepiece that debuted at Watches and Wonders 2025. As part of the La Fabrique collection, this chronograph is offered in two limited editions: 25 pieces in stainless steel and 15 pieces in 18K yellow gold.

Measuring 37 mm in diameter, the Chronographe Télémètre is the smallest Angelus model to date, inspired by the brand’s mid-20th-century design language. The case features fluid, polished lugs with twisted flanks, and a mono-pusher chronograph subtly integrated into the winding crown.

True to its name, the watch incorporates a telemeter scale on the dial, enabling the wearer to measure the distance of an event. The chronograph is started when an event is seen and stopped when it is heard. The telemeter markings are measured in kilometres, based on the time elapsed divided by the speed of sound.

Powering the timepiece is the in-house, hand-wound A5000 calibre, which beats at 3 Hz and delivers a 42-hour power reserve. The movement features a column wheel-controlled chronograph mechanism with a horizontal clutch, drawing inspiration from historical chronographs produced between the 1940s and early 1970s.

The timepiece is offered in three dial variations - rose-bronze (Ref. 0CHC.SP01A.V010S), titanium grey (Ref. 0CHC.QI01A.V010Q), and white nickel (Ref. 0CHC.QI01A.V010Q). The first two are paired with the stainless steel case, while the white nickel dial is reserved for the yellow gold model. Each dial features a grained centre, a satin-finished flange, and a diamond-polished separating thread. The small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock and the 30-minute totaliser at 3 o’clock are snailed. Applied numerals and markers are finished in either black or 3N gold.

Calfskin straps complete the timepieces—anthracite grey strap for steel-rose dial, sage green strap for steel-grey dial, and a steel blue-coloured strap for the yellow gold-white dial. The stainless steel versions are priced at approximately INR 32,06,000, while the yellow gold model retails at approximately INR 17,77,000.
