At the 2025 edition of the Watches and Wonders fair in Geneva, the independent Swiss watch brand Armin Strom presented three limited-edition timepieces that showcase the brand’s mechanical brilliance.

The Orbit Purple

The first timepiece from Armin Strom features an on-demand pointer-date function—a world first—integrated onto the ceramic bezel. Unlike conventional date functions, the date is not displayed until activated by the wearer.

Crafted in a black DLC-coated stainless steel case, the 43.4mm Orbit Purple features a captivating purple fumé off-center dial that transitions to black at the periphery. The dial is matched with a purple date pointer and the marking “DATE” at 12 o’clock. The other markings on the dial and bezel are done in white.

At its core is the in-house automatic Calibre ASS20, equipped with a column-wheel date-on-demand mechanism, a patented equal-force barrel, and a 72-hour power reserve.

Flanking the timepiece is a rugged textile strap. Limited to 20 pieces, the watch retails for approximately INR 36,10,000.

Dual Time GMT Resonance – Manufacture Edition Black

The new Dual Time GMT Resonance – Manufacture Edition Black is a travel watch equipped with the brand’s patented resonance clutch mechanism, which enables two balance wheels to oscillate in resonance, synchronizing their vibrations for exceptional accuracy. This innovation maintains stable resonance, effectively counteracting shocks and impacts.

Driving the timepiece is the ARF22 calibre, the brand’s 18th in-house movement, operating at 3.5 Hz with a 42-hour power reserve.

The mechanism is featured on a black grenage dial, complemented by black azurage chapter rings and polished indexes. The two adjacent subdials allow independent tracking of two time zones, including unconventional time zones with fractional-hour offsets. Both feature blackened steel day/night discs positioned at their bottoms. The hands are rhodium-plated and faceted.

Measuring 39mm, the timepiece is crafted in stainless steel and offers a sleek profile at 9.05mm. Flanking the case is a taupe alligator strap secured by a stainless steel pin buckle.

Limited to 50 pieces, the watch is priced at approximately INR 95,30,000.

One Week Titanium Skeleton

The final novelty by the brand, the One Week Titanium Skeleton, honors Armin Strom’s founder with its masterful skeletonisation. This latest edition pushes openworking further than its 2023 predecessor, stripping away even more material to fully expose the intricate mechanics within.

The 41mm timepiece is crafted from grade 5 titanium and features skeletonization that extends throughout—including the small seconds dial, which reveals both the power reserve indicator and the escapement wheel. The main plate and barrels are also skeletonized, showcasing a conical power reserve mechanism inspired by historical pocket watches.

The time is displayed by rhodium-plated, faceted hands and indexes filled with Super-LumiNova. The movement inside is the manual-wound ARM21-S calibre, which offers an impressive 7-day power reserve and beats at a 3.5 Hz frequency.

The watch comes with an integrated titanium bracelet with a double-folding clasp. Limited to 100 pieces, the One Week Titanium Skeleton is priced at approximately INR 39,15,000.
