The much-anticipated Rolex novelties at Watches and Wonders have been unveiled. The new models include the GMT-Master II, Oyster Perpetual, the 1908, Datejust, and new striking dials for three iconic lines. Amongst them is a brand-new collection—the Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller—whose glimpse was officially teased by Rolex’s ambassador and tennis star Roger Federer on his Instagram a day before the release.
The Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller
A new collection from Rolex, the Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller comes in 36mm and 40mm cases, decked with 32 patents—18 exclusive to the model and 16 for its movement.
The Land-Dweller introduces a refined integrated bracelet design, featuring the Flat Jubilee bracelet, seamlessly merging with the polished and satin-finished Oyster case. The timepiece is offered in three variations—crafted in White Rolesor, a blend of Oystersteel and white gold, with a fluted bezel and intense white honeycomb dial; in 18K Everose Gold, with its white honeycomb dial studded with ten baguette-cut diamond hour markers and a bezel set with 44 trapeze-cut diamonds; and in 950 Platinum, featuring a fluted bezel and an ice-blue honeycomb dial, a signature colour for Rolex platinum models.
At the heart of the Land-Dweller is the Calibre 7135, a 5 Hz movement that is thinner than most Rolex calibres and offers a 66-hour power reserve. It features the Dynapulse escapement for increased energy efficiency and accuracy. The movement drives the date function at 3 o’clock alongside hours, minutes, and seconds.
Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II
For the new Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II, Rolex has introduced its first-ever high-technology ceramic dial. The 40mm timepiece is crafted in 18K white gold with a green Cerachrom dial, which perfectly matches the daytime half of the green and black Cerachrom bezel insert.
Made using a process similar to natural stone dials, a ceramic disc is mounted onto a brass plate, ensuring the rich green hue remains consistent in all lighting conditions by using the same ceramic type for both the dial and bezel insert. The winding crown is positioned on the left side of the case, alongside the date window at 9 o’clock.
Flanking the GMT-Master II is an Oyster bracelet equipped with an Oysterlock safety clasp. Powering the watch is the Calibre 3285, which offers a 70-hour power reserve. The movement is designed with a patented Chronergy escapement for high energy efficiency. The escapement, made of nickel-phosphorous, is highly anti-magnetic. The movement also has a blue Parachrom hairspring, which offers stability in temperature variations. The oscillator is mounted on Rolex-designed, patented Paraflex shock absorbers, further enhancing the movement’s shock resistance.
The Oyster Perpetual
Rolex expands its Oyster Perpetual collection with new muted pastel dials, introducing lavender, sandy beige, and pistachio green. These lacquered dials feature a smooth matte finish, a combination not previously seen in the brand’s catalog. The 41mm model also debuts a redesigned Oyster case and a slimmer Oysterclasp.
Each pastel shade graces a different model: the lavender matte lacquer dial appears on the Oyster Perpetual 28, the beige matte lacquer dial on the Oyster Perpetual 36, and the pistachio green dial on the Oyster Perpetual 41.
Different Rolex movements power these timepieces. The Oyster Perpetual 28 is driven by Calibre 2232 with a 55-hour power reserve, while the 36mm and 41mm models are equipped with Calibre 3230 with a reserve of about 70 hours.
The Perpetual 1908
The new Rolex Perpetual 1908 is introduced in solid 18K yellow gold, now flanked by the brand-new seven-piece link Settimo bracelet. This lightweight bracelet is composed of seven small polished links, which reflect light beautifully, evoking the jewelry-inspired bracelets of vintage Rolex timepieces, and is finished with a concealed Crownclasp for seamless aesthetics.
The 39mm timepiece features an intense white dial with faceted index hour markers and Arabic numerals at 3, 9, and 12, while the 6 o’clock position features a small seconds counter.
Powering the Perpetual 1908 is Calibre 7140, distinguished by its Rolex Côtes de Genève bridge decoration and a cut-out oscillating weight. It offers a power reserve of approximately 66 hours.
Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31
Rolex presents a striking new version of the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31 in 18K yellow gold, featuring a mesmerizing red ombré dial. Inspired by the final rays of sunlight at dusk, this gradient dial transitions from a fiery red center to deep black at the edges.
This marks the first time the ombré dial, reintroduced in 2019 via PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), has appeared in this bold hue. Originally reserved for the Day-Date, this design now debuts on the Datejust 31, adorned with ten diamond-set hour markers and framed by a bezel set with 46 brilliant-cut diamonds. Completing the look is the iconic President bracelet, featuring a concealed Crownclasp.
The 31mm timepiece is powered by Calibre 2236, which runs with an approximate power reserve of 55 hours.
New striking dials
Rolex’s three iconic timepieces get bold new configurations—the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, GMT-Master II, and Sky-Dweller—each featuring striking new dials.
Synonymous with motorsport and precision timing, the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona debuts a turquoise blue lacquer dial with bright black subdials, offering a stunning contrast. Crafted in 18K yellow gold, this timepiece is topped with a black Cerachrom bezel featuring the tachymeter scale. Completing the design is the Oysterflex bracelet with an Oysterlock safety clasp, ensuring comfort and security. Calibre 4131 powers this watch with up to 72 hours of reserve.
Designed for global travelers, the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II now features a tiger iron dial, a rare natural stone that blends tiger’s eye, red jasper, and hematite for a unique hybrid pattern. Encased in 18K Everose gold, it is paired with a brown and black Cerachrom bezel insert. The watch is mounted on an Oyster bracelet equipped with an Oysterlock safety clasp. It is powered by Calibre 3285 with a 70-hour autonomy.
The Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller now shines in 18K yellow gold with a sunray-finished bright green dial. For the first time, this model is paired with a Jubilee bracelet in 18K yellow gold, fitted with an Oysterclasp for secure wear. Beating inside is the Calibre 9002 with a 72-hour power reserve.
